Galatians 3:13-17

To be justified you need to have faith in Jesus. You don't get justified by your works. We can't depend on ourselves for our salvation. We can ONLY depend on Jesus to save us. He allowed Himself to be crucified in our place.  He took on our sins to save us.

We sin everyday still, it's a never winning battle, but we're not alone. Jesus is there. We have to ask Jesus everyday for forgiveness for our sins every day.

We can't make it on our own. We have to go to Jesus. If God's dealing with you , if the Holy Spirit is calling you , then you need to come to the alter to ask Jesus to save you and forgive you from your sins.

Deuteronomy 21:22-23

In the only language, the word tree meant a board or a cross.

When someone committed a sin worthy of death, would normally be stoned to death. But Jesus was crucified. It was prophesied hundreds of years before Jesus was born, that He would take on our sin and be hung on a cross (a.k.a. tree).

God's law tells us that we need a savior. The law was made to prove that we're not worthy enough to go to Heaven. But by the blood of Jesus, He makes us worthy.

When Jesus took on our sin and allowed Himself to be crucified, God had to turn His face away. Jesus knew He did and knew He had to be forsaken.

Matthew 27:46

Being a "good person" or doing workds for the church, or donating to charities isn't goin to get you to heaven. ONLY  the blood of Christ can save you and wash away your sins.

Matthew 1 starts to show the lineage of Jesus Christ and Abraham.

Isaiah 55:11

Galatians 3:15-16

God is saying that He made a promise that would expand through time. His promise is still as strong today as it was when He first made the promise to Abraham.
