Sunday Morning Worship

2 Kings 5:1-15

I preach not at the devil's time. I preach what Jesus tells me to preach. This isn't my job. God called me, eventhough I ran from Him for many years. I preach what God puts on my heart to preach. The devil workds hard on Sundays to keep you from church. In fact he gave me a terrible headache but God is fighting that battle for me and the devil ain't gonna keep me from church and worshipping Jesus.

Naaman was a great man and the Lord delivered Him from Syria but he was a leper. The devil was thrown out of heaven because of pride. God doesn't want us to have a prideful heart. It's a struggle to not have a prideful heart and I thank God that He helps me fight that.

Naaman was not what we call a Christian. He wasn't even from Israel. But God was able to use him to lift up His kingdom. Syrians were pagans, but God used Naaman.

Spiritual leprosy is a sin. I thought I cure spiritual leprosy myself, but it's only by the blood of Christ are we healed. We have to repent our sins (leprosy) to be healed. When people today tell you that they could cure you, beware. Only God can heal you. We would be happy to pray for you but you can go bodly to the throne of Grace and obtain that healing yourself.

Healing starts with the individuals. It ain't church. A church ain't a building. Church is in your heart.

Naaman was prepared to pay for a cure. But God doesn't need your money. The king of Syria sent so much to the king of Israel to cure Naaman but that's not what is required to be healed.

People go to church expecting something exciting or a religious experience to happen. But that's not church. Naaman was full of pride. Naaman was looking for a religious experience. But if he had had faith he would have known the power and love of God. But when he did as he was told, he was healed. Not only of leprosy, but from pride.
