Mark 4:35-39
Where does peace come from?
What has God done for you? Only you know. We can look in the liquor bottle but you won't find peace. you can look all over to find everlasting peace but only Jesus can show and give us everlasting peace.
How many times has He moved you away and protected you from a tragedy? That's the peace He can give. When the storm was raging against the ship, and water was cascading over the bow and it was close to sinking, they went to Jesus, woke Him up and begged for His help. When He awoke, He rebuked the wind and said unto the sea, "Peace, be still."
Jesus was able to sleep because He has peace. We can call on Him to help us and save us during the storm and only Jesus can give us peace. The men on the ship knew that Jesus can bring peace to the sea. Peace only comes from The Word of God.
You can't buy peace, you can only recieve it from the Lord Jesus Christ.
Do you think Jesus knows when you're about to go into a storm? We don't act with forsight, we wait until the last possible moment to ask for help and preace from the Lord Jesus. When we see problems at the start, that's when we should call on Him. We should be having daily conversations with Jesus. We need to get back to the alter. We need to get back in The Word of God. It's only by the grace of God that we can make it through these storms. If He could come down to speak to us, we should get on our knees to speak to Him.
John 16:32-33
Jesus said, "Behold, the hour cometh, yea, is now come, that ye shall be scattered, every man to his own, and shall leave me along: and yet I am not alone, because the Father is with me. These things I have spoken unto you, that in me ye might have peace. In the world ye shall have tribulation: but be of good cheer; I have overcome the world."
Jesus is able to walk over the waters that trouble us. Ther is a song that says, "Remember when waves are over your head there under his feet." We need to be praying and listening to The Word of God throughout the week not just on Sundays.
The world doesn't give you peace. Satan is the father of confusion. He will make sure you never get peace. Jesus tells us He is the way to get peace. Anything that comes from the world won't give you peace. We should be studying The Word of God every day. More mature christians understand that peace is found in Christ.
The world brings chaos with social media, T.V. etc. We need to get back to looking for peace through Him. We need to look for Jesus, or we won't give a good testimony. Peace comes from the relationship you have with Jesus Christ. He wants us to have peace. The world only offers problems and confusion. The devil does that to get your throughts off of God.
We have to die daily in order to live. We have to bring ourselves back to the day we get saved, the day we knew He was our Lord and Savior. With faith Jesus will provide for all your needs.
John 14:25-27 says, "These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whome the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you. Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth; give I unto you. Let not your heart be troubled, neither let it be afraid."
