Jealousy Pt 2

Daniel 6:11-24

The presidents and princes knew Daniel's faith was strong and believed it was his weakness. So when they say him praying they told the king and made sure the kind had it ordered for Daniel to be cast in the lions den.

No matter how rich you are, if you don't know Jesus, then you are the poorest of men.

When they cast Daniel into the lions den, the mouth of the den was closed with a stone and sealed with the signet of the king and the signet of his lords. During the night, the kind had second thoughts about casting Daniel in the lions den, so he fasted and would have no music played. in the very early hours of the morning the king arose and had the stone removed. Expecting to see Daniel dead, He called out to Daniel, to which Daniel replied, (Verse 22) "My God hath sent his angel, and hath shut the lions' mouths, that they hav not hurt me: forasmuch as before him innocency was found in me; and also before thee, O king, have i done no hurt."

Aren't you glad Jesus gave His life for us?

Giving a compliment is okay but flattering someone to get them to do what you want is not okay. God knows when you are trying to flatter Him. Flattery will get you nowhere.

When the world is out to get you, all you have to do is call on the Lord Jesus, pray to Him, so he can show you the way.

I want to go to my grave serving God and that's what I want for you too. Leave your problems with God.

There's no going back when you made decisions without consulting God. There's no going back when you've done something wrong. Don't get caught up on what happened in the past.

When you repent, you've turned your direction towards God.

You can't serve the materialistic things of the world and the good that God can give.

Matthew 6:24 - "No man can serve two masters; for either he will hate the one, and love the other; or else he will hold to the one, and despise the other. ye cannot serve God and mammon."

You have to decide who you'll serve. Do you serve God or do you serve the world?

How many times have you been in a situation where you found no way out? Like Daniel. Did you call on God to show you a way out to protect you? Do you lift God up in prayer like Daniel Did? Daniel was faithful to God that's why God sent His angel to shut the lion's mouths.

Daniel knew that God had him. Do you know that God has you? Do you serve the Almighty God?

The one's who brought problems for Daniel to the king were thrown into the lion's den with their wives and children.

Verse 26 says, "I make a decree, That in every dominion of my kingdom men tremble and faer before the God of Daniel: for he is the living God, and stedfast for ever, and his kingdom that which shall not be destroyed, and his dominion shall be even unto the end."

Will you live by that decree and serve the one, true, Living God?

Keep moving towards God. When your spirit is burdened, when you're physically hurt, or mentally weighed down, take your troubles to God in prayer. We need to keep praying. We need to pray more and more.

We serve the same God that Daniel served. God hasn't and doesn't stop. But when we don't witness, pray, or have revival, God will leave.
