What does Easter mean to you?

When you think of Easter, what do you picture in your head? Do you picture a fluffy white bunny with a cute little fluffy tail bringing baskets full of eggs to your door? Do you picture the cutest Easter dress or suit that you can put your kids in for church that day? Let me tell you what I picture. My Easter celebration starts with sadness at picturing the day my Lord and Savior gave His life to save me from my sins that allows me to spend eternity in Heaven by His side. I picture Him being laid in the tomb and being left all alone in the dark. But then, I feel the joy that Easter brings. He arose!!! Jesus died for our sins so that we might have everlasting life with Him in Heaven. He gave His all because He loves us that much and so much more. He suffered so that we won't have to. Jesus showed us that unconditional and pure love and faith do exist and are rewarded in Heaven. So while, hunting eggs, taking pictures with your family in the cutest new dress or outfit that was at the store is all well and good; don't forget what Easter is really about. Easter is the day we should be saying, "Thank you, Jesus for buying our pardons." He lives in each and every one of us who believes in Him.  So, put on your best Easter dress or come as comfortable as you'd like to be, but come join us this Easter Sunday to hear some good music and a great message that God is going to be giving Pastor Kyle to teach us.
