Romans 12:1-4

It's hard but not impossible to live a Christ Centered life. Jesus never said it would be easy. It's not living a life about me or you but living a life that would protray Jesus. How do we center ourselves on Christ? We keep our focus on Jesus.

Living life ain't no different today than it was 2,000 years ago. If we live the way God instructed His disciples to live, we can live a Christ Centered life.

Even our church must be a Christ centered church.  Our whole self, mind, body, and soul should want to be a living sacrifice for Christ Jesus. But we forget that we're not in charge. When we think we're in charge, we find that we fail. But as soon as we realize that God is in congtrol and we pray more, we see that things will righten themselves.

Don't be ashamed of the blood of the cross. Don't be ashamed of admitting what He did for you. Jesus should be our true north. Like with a compass, we need to follow Jesus.

How to live a Christ centered life:

  1. Pray more without ceasing
  2. Read your Bible more.

To live a Christ centered live means we have to keep our focus on Christ in ALL things.

There are differences between self-centered and a Christ centered life.

  • Self-centered                                                                    Christ Centered
  • Someone who gives into sin                                     Someone who repents &wants to please God
  • Someone who is controlled by sin & self           Someone who wants to follow the spirit
  • Someone who is disobedient to God                    Somone who obeys God
  • Someone who is self-indulgent                               Someone who is self-sacrificing (puts others                                                                                                                 first)
  • Displays the fruit of the sin                                         Displays the fruit of the spirit - love
  • Boastful of self (always saying "I")                            Recognizes what Jesus did for them

A person who always puts the world first will always focus on self. No one comes to the father except through Christ. A person who doesn't put Christ first will always put theirselves first.
