1 John 4:10-13
It wasn't that He waited until we were prepared to be loved. He said come unto me. I'm so thankful for that. If we don't have the love in our hearts for our brothers and sisters in Christ, I would question our salvation. But when God comes into our hearts, when He saves us, He brings that love with Him and fills our hearts with the love like we'd never knew.
Thank God He didn't wait around for me to love Him, in my past I thought I was in charge and I turned my back on Him. Until one day I ended up in the hospital and it was like a light flipped on. I thank God that He knew what I needed, that I needed Him. Then and now.
Jesus paid the price for our atonement. He volunteered to sacrifice Himself for us.
