Ephesians 6:5-9
God has His hand on every single word in this Bible. Our relationship with Jesus matter so much.
First submission from Husband to wife, then from mother and father to child, then from employer to employee.
The Bible is the word of God and every book is about honoring Jesus. He's the beginning and the end, the alpha and the omega, the great physician, the Lord of Lords, the King of Kings. He's the one and only.
Servants = employee
Master = owner, employer, manager, etc.
Every single thing we do matters in somebody's eyes.
V. 5 - Listen to them and obey what they want you to do. We shouldn't be looking for ways to gtet our of work. We should be doing things to honor God. Thank God that you have a job.
Exodus 21:2
It's the responsibility of the employer to take care of the employee. But you have to be a good employee.
V. 6 - Don't sit around looking at the time clock watching to see when you get your next break. If we're not a good servant in the spirit how can we be a good servant in the flesh? Men pleasers - only working when the boss is around.
How can we do what we're sukppose to do at work if we're not doing it a home, at church, or int he world?
V. 7 - Do your job as you would if you were working for Jesus?
V. 8 - If you do good works, He will bless you the same.
Matthew 6:33
Three D's of being a good master/employer: Delegate, Disappear, Discipline.
Jesus is our Master. We need to respect Him and obey His word.
