The Role of the Holy Spirit

Jesus is our comforter. The Holy Spirit is part of the Holy Trinity: Father, Son, and Holy Spirit.

John 14:16-20 - This is Jesus speaking: "And i will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever; Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receieve, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but he know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you. I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you. Yet a little while, and the world seeth me no more; but ye see me: because I live, ye shall live also. At that day hye shall know that I am in my Father, and ye in me, and I in you."

The Holy Spirit does have a purpose. Let me back up a bit in verse 18, it says, "I will not leave you comfortless: I will come to you." This is how it works: When you ask God to save you and you ask Jesus to come into your heart, the Holy Spirit moves in and resided within us. Church is in the hearts, soul, and mind of the believer. That's how Jesus communicates with us, through the Holy Spirit.

Jesus never leaves us as orphans. They forgot about the part where He said He's "going to return." If God took over your life, then the Holy Spirit dwells within you. From the day of the Pentacost, when a lost person gets saved, then the Holy Spirit takes the place of Jesus in the flesh.

When God ripped the veil, He said, "we don't need that anymore, because we have a High King, a High Priest, called Jesus."

Jesus took your place on the cross when you got saved. There's more things the Holy Spirit helps us do. Look back in verse 16: "And I will pray the Father and he shall give you another Comforter, that he may abide with you for ever." Verse 17: "Even the Spirit of truth; whom the world cannot receive, because it seeth him not, neither knoweth him: but ye know him; for he dwelleth with you, and shall be in you." He doesn't leave us as orphans. Jesus said, "I'll never leave you, I'll never forsake you."

When we go to heaven, we have the holy spirit with us then. When Jesus calls His people home and the Holy Spirit leaves with Him, that's when you will see the bad of this world, if you're one of the one's that get left behind.

Vrs 25-26: "These things have I spoken unto you, being yet present with you. But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom ethe Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

There's nothing wrong with saying, "Holy Ghost." That's what's in the Bible, it's what He is. We need to get back in the word of God. It says,  "He'll teach us." The Bible is the constant in everything. We don't need to be trying to change the Bible to fit our lives and habits, we should change our lives and habits to fit in the word of God. If we would let the Holy Spirit guide our lives, then 99.9999% of our lives would go right. But the problem is Kyle wants to control my life and when I try to take control, that's when things go wrong

God wants us to live a holy and acceptable live to and with Him. When we include Him, put Him first, we would have a far better life, than we have right now. We can't run things our way we need to run things God's way.

The devil wants you to forget the fellowship you have with Jesus. But the Holy Spirit that's in you, commits to you to help you life the life God wants you to have. WE can't save anybody. Did you know that? We're not the savers. Jesus is the only one who can save us. You never really get saved untill you know that you're lost.

The things that Jesus taught when He walked this earth, He's still teaching us through the Bible. The two greatest commandments Jesus said were, "love God only, and love thy neighbor," and hang the other commandments on those two.

The Holy Spirit helps us to remember. Vrs 26: "But the Comforter, which is the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you." In other words, He'd driving the word of God into your heart.

Those scriptures you've read over and over again, start to make sense to you. In our daily lives, He brings things into remembrance. In our witnessing, He brings things into remembrance. What we should remember ever day is the day the Lord came into our hearts. Whether you were at the alter, in your car, the store, wherever you were, so you can know where you came from. Remebmer, but don't dwell on the past.

Our riches and treasures are not in this world, it' in heave with God, the Father. One day we will be in his presence when He judges us. But it's up to us how we handle that.

The world doesn't understand the Holy Spirit. he doesn't indwells the lost, He indwells the believer. The Spirit of Truth is not a deceiver. He will always show the truth.

Vrs 27: "Peace I leave with you, my peace I give unto you: not as the world giveth, give I unto you. Let not your hearts be gtroubles, niether let it be afraid." God gives you the peace knowing that if you were to go today, He will give you the peace that passes all understanding. God wants you to have peace with you lay your burdens at His feet.

If you don't know Jesus today, I never want you to say that I never gave you the opportunity to get saved. We need to get ready. Are you ready?
