How can we seek God's will

Proverbs 16:9 - "A man's heart deviseth his way: but the LORD directeth his steps."

You're not too old or too young to serve God.

Only Jesus lived a perfect life. We're under the age of grace. What are you willing to do for God? God knows you better than anybody else. It's true, a man's heart deviseth his way. It's true with love. Especially if you're been married a long time. If you want to be used by God, to be a willing vessel, there are four ways we can do just that.

  1. We have to surrender our lvies, not just salavation, but doing God's will 100%. God's will is predestinated, it never changes.

James 4:7 - "Submit yourselves therefore to God. Resis the devil, and he will flee from you." As christians, we take 10% of our time for God and 90% to the world. Yes, we have to live in the world, but it doesn't mean we have to be part of the world.

       2. Seek His will. How do you do this? Through prayer, through the word.

Matthew 6:33 - "But seek ye first the kingdom of God, and his righteousness; and all these things shall be added unto you." What if all we thought about was heaven? Seek Him first in the morning, noon, and night. We seek His will on Sunday morning, not much in the evening, but Monday through Saturday, how much do you seek His will? God will show you and direct you if you're seeking His will.

      3. He will secure your path. This is biblical. David sought God first, even after being run out of town, he got down on his knees and cried to God. Immediately he got peace. Psalms 3 shows us how David got his peace. Ephesians 1:13 - "In whom ye also trusted, after that ye heard thw rold of truth, the gospel of your salvation: in whome also after that ye believed, ye were sealed with that holy Spirit of promise." God sealed us in our salvation. He secures us all the way through to the day of redemption.

John 14:26 - "But the Comforter, which is  the Holy Ghost, whom the Father will send in my name, he shall teach you all things, and bring all things to your remembrance, whatsoever I have said unto you."

      4. Turn away from self-will and from sin. The only thing that stands between you and having a relationship with God is self and sin. It's not God that leaves, it's Kyle, it's us. The world can't offer happiness. Sin destroys our lives. God will never destroy the relationship. He wants us to serve Him. When we get in a situation where sin blinds us and blocks our relationship, the Holy Spirit will remind you of everything that Jesus has said. God knows we will fail Him, but that doesn't mean it doesn't hurt him. I know that I have failed God many times and that it has hurt Him each time I have failed Him. But God knows that I live to serve Him.

Whom do you serve? Do you serve God, or the world?
