Pouting to God

Proverbs 15: 1-2 - "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grieveous words stir up anger. The tongue of the wise useth knowledge aright: but the mouth of fools poureth out foolishness."

Even the stongest christain can doubt the wonder of God. But all it takes is rememberance of Him and what He's done to squash those doubts.

Pouting is a form of anger or annoyance. God know we will have our struggles and fall short of the glory of God, but to linger with anger in your heart is not only a mockery of God but is a sin. Jesus didn't go to the cross for us to be angry. He went out of love. We need to remember what Jesus did for us on the day we got saved, and that joy and excitement that entered our hearts. We need to get back to that excitement.

We always seem to blame God for the problems in our lives, but it's not God's fault. It's ours.

Vrs 1 - "A soft answer turneth away wrath: but grievous words stir up anger." I remember hearing how God speaks to you in a soft voice, but that's not because He can't speak loud. He speaks low to humble us. It's the small voice you hear in the middle of the night. That's God bringing you peace to your heart and your mind. If we apply what God said in the Bible, it would help us to grow on our christain walk.

God knows everything about you, from the hair on your head to the beat of your heart. God knows your wants and when you pray for wants, and you don't get the answer you want, that's when most of us pout. God knows your needs. He knows what we can handle. God gives us what we can handle, we blame Him for a lot of things but it's not His fault. Sometimes it's not anger at God sometimes it's anger at fellow brothers and sisters in Christ. I thank God we don't really have that here in this church. Church isn't about seperating everyone into groups, we're all one group. We're suppose to lift the name of Jesus up in our songs, prayers, and sermons.

As christains we will att the big sins like adultery and murder but will let anger slide by.

Matthew 5:27-30 - "Y have heard that it was said by them of old time, Thou shalt not commit adultery: But I say unto you, That whosoever looketh on a woman to lust after her hath committed adultery with her already in his heart. And if thy right eye offend thee, pluck it out, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of thy members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell. And if thy right hand offend thee, cut it off, and cast it from thee: for it is profitable for thee that one of they members should perish, and not that thy whole body should be cast into hell."

See we know adultery is a big thing but we don't think anger is.

Vrs 28 - It's not just adultery, but the thought of it in our minds that is a sin.

Vrs 29 - He's telling you to not hang onto the anger, that temptation. It's better to just throw it away.

Vrs 30 - When we have anger in our hearts, we need to attack that with vigor as much as if we have lust in our heart or eye. Sin is sin is sin. He said cut that sin off.

We should be alarmed if there's anger in our hearts. We need to figure out what is causing the wall to be between you and God. God didn't out it there, we did.

We need to talk things out and build that bridge back that leads you back to God. We need to get back on our knees, that will get us back to God.

There's nothing about you that God doesn't know. We pray because He wants to know him. He wants us to serve Him because we want to serve.

That's why there's no predestination about who is going to heave and who is going to hell. We can't grow with God if there is anger in your heart.
