Death to sin and self Pt. 2

Romans 6:11-23 - " Likewise reckon ye also yourselves to be dead indeed unto sin, but alive unto God through Jesus Christ our Lord. Let not sin therefore reign in your mortal body, that ye should obey it in the lusts thereof. Neither yield ye your members as instruments of unrighteousness unto sin: but yield yourselves unto God as those that are alive from the dead, and your members as instruments of righteousness unto God. For sin shall not have dominion over you: for ye are not under the law, but under grace. What then? shall we sin, because we are not under the law, but under grace? God forbid. Know ye not, that to whom ye yield yourselves servants to obey, his sesrvants ye are to whom ye obey; whether of sin unto death, or of ovedience unto righteousness? Bug god be thanked, that ye were the servants of sin, but ye have oveyed from the heart that form of doctrine which was delivered you. Being then made free from sin, ye became the servants of righteousness. I speak after the manner of men because of the ifirmity of your flesh: for as ye have yielded your members servants to uncleaness and to iniquity unto iniquity; even so now yield your members servants to righteousness unto holiness. For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness. What fruit had ye then in those things whereof ye are now ashamed? for the end of those things is death. But now being made free from sin, and become servants to God, ye have your fruit unto holiness, and then end everlasting life. For the wages of sin is death; but the gift of God is eternal life through Jesus Christ our Lord."

From trasformation from a lost person to a person who has been saved. Are we bound by sin when we get saved? If you don't have faither that Jesus did what He said He did, that level of faither will determine where you stand in these times where sin abounds from left to right.

God knew this was coming, the T.V. taken over by pornography, social media going on about LGBTQ+ is not sharing God's love or witnessing to others.

Vrs 11 - How is the relationship going to be if we don't have or believe in Jesus. It's only with Jesus Christ's assistance that we can reach the gloryland. Jesus walked this earth for 33 and some odd years and never committed a single sin. That is our standard that we should try to live up to.

Vrs 12 - The mortal body that we're suppose to throw away when we confess our sins but we ned up picking it back up and putting it back on. Because it fits and it is comfortable. But we're suppose to turn away from that sinful nature. We need to pur ourselves out of the light and put Jesus in the light. We need to focus on Jesus. If we did that we would have a more holy life.

Don't get caught up in the sin of the mortal world. You can't make it alone, you need Jesus to make it to the afterever. You have to renew your relationship every day with Jesus. We have to die every day with this sinful nature and resurrect in a grace filled life. Grace that is abound doesn't give you an excuse to sin all week and then go to church on Sunday and act like all is well. It wasn't His sin that He was hung on the cross, or beat with a cat-o-nine tails, or died for: It was our sins. We deserve to be on that cross but He took our place.

Vrs 13 - Do the right things that God wants us to do. It doesn't matter if you're elequent with your speach, do what God puts on your heart to do

Vrs 14 - Jesus said He came to fulfill the law not destroy the law. He wrote the law on our hearts, that's how e know when we do something wrong.

Vrs 15 - This verse asks us, "should we?" and ends with, "God forbid." What that means is: don't give it a thought.

Vrs 16- If you obey righteousness that's who you're a servant to.

Vrs 17 - What was the form of doctrine that was delivered to us? It was Jesus. Salvation is our doctrine. If we don't get everyone to do that, they will be serving sin.

Vrs 18 - If you're saved, you're free, and no longer bound by sin. Being saved by Jesus makes us servants of righteousness. Sin is what's keeping you from having a great relationship with Jesus, you're free from sin when you repent.

Vrs 19 - The repentence of sin is what brings us to God if you think you will walk sinless then you are going to struggle with the battle. The things that keeps us from breaking free from the bonds keeping us in sin is only in our minds.

Vrs 20- "For when ye were the servants of sin, ye were free from righteousness."

Vrs 21 - We have no reason and should have no desire to be in sin. When we didn't know any better it was okay to sin, but now, our blinders are off, so we knew sin is sin. You have to confess to Jesus not to me or a priest sitting in a box somewhere. Only Jesus can grant you salvation.

Vrs 22 - Will you choose sin or Jesus? Sin equals death; Jesus equals grace and everlasting life.

Vrs 23 - The cost or value of sin always is death (physical bonds, spiritual death). The father of sin wants you to fail. He's winning when we sin and when we fail. The gift of God - and it's truely a gift there's nothing to barter, it's a gift - is eternal life through Jesus Christ.

If we don't have a relationship with Jesus then we don't have salvation.
