Hebrews 10:23-25 - "Let us hold fast the profession of our faith without wavering; (for he is faithful that promised;) And let us consider one another to provoke unto love and to good works: Not forsaking the assembling of ourselves together, as the manner of some is; but exhorting one another: and so much the more, as ye see the day approaching."
Be faithful to God and come to church. When we come together in church we're coming together as a family. We're brothers and sisters in Christ. While we're on earth we need to appreciate the fellowship we get when coming to church.
Feeling woe is me and not finding joy is not being a christian. A christian is making a promise to follow God's law and fulfilling that promise. Life can get in the way but you can always fix or go around the obstacle by coming to church and giving your problems over to God.
We can base our promises and faither on God because He is faithful. Jesus made a promise that He was going to make us a place in Heaven and that's what our faith should be based on. When Jesus said He was going to do something, It happened. There is nothing on this earth that can prove anything Jesus said to be a lie.
2 Peter 3:9 - "The Lord is not slack concerning his promise, as some men count slackness; but is longsuffereing to us-ward, not willing that any should perish, but that all should come to repentance."
God is in it for the long haul, not for the quick version of happiness.
When we ask, "why God?" we need to remember that it's us that need to make the change, God is all constant. He's handed us a free gift and all we have to do is take it and follow Him.
The world will get you to waver. It's not you that makes the excuses as to why you can't go to church, it's Satan. he will fill your mind with every excuse as to why we can't go to church. But God is a constant and will drive Satan out if you're faithful and have love and joy in your heart.
Hebrews 10:24 - How do we provoke joy in one another? We get together to congregate and pray. The church is a hospital so when you come to church, you're either the patient or the nurse leading a healing prayer. God is your physician. Share your burden with your fellow brothers and sisters. That's why God wants us to do; help each other out.
Hebrews 10:25 - We need to be excited for the coming of Jesus. We need to spread the good news message, help each other, fellowship. We need to invite others to come know Christ.
The value of why it's important to come to church is to replenish and refresh your faith. Satan willd rain you spritiually, but when you come together in church, God will life those burdens.
Matthew 18:20 - "For where two or three are gathered together in my name, there am I in the midst of them."
Another value of coming to church is being in the pressence of Jesus. I'm not talking about coming to church only for special occastions. I'm talking about coming to church to get filled with God's love and blessings and then going out and sharing that love.
We need to exhort others to come to church. We need to reach out to others and share the love God puts in our hearts.
